Each Yorkshire Town could improve transport links between their railway station and university by providing a free bike/ebike scheme with depots at uni and at station.

Many students and staff travel to universities and railway travel would be encouraged if the entire trip could be carried out by sustainable transport.  Hull and Leeds have bus links and Sheffield has a tram system  but a bike scheme would help to support the full university campus area. Recharge points and drop off/hand in points could be located at the city stations and on each campus.
