Bradford

Business & Economy

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are vital to the economy of the region and the UK as a whole, and contribute up to 47% of the country's revenue. The government has introduced several funding grants to assist businesses in reaching the net-zero by 2050 target. These include the Industrial Energy Transformation fund (IETF) and the Heat Network Investment Project (HNIP). Other sources of funding such as the Green Business Fund help SMEs to reduce energy costs and improve their energy efficiency. Do you have any ideas of how your city can help business owners reduce their carbon footprint?
